Friends & Family- We Need You!

Today was the official Friends and Family launch of ShoutNow.com. We successfully delivered several hundred shouts (and some of those were delivered multiple times!) over the course of the day. We had one minor hiccup but that has been resolved. Afterall, we couldn’t have a beta launch without finding SOMETHING to fix, right? I mean, we’re good, but not that good. We are excited to have our friends and family begin test driving ShoutNow to let us know what they think. We will depend on your feedback to drive the development and improvements of our service.

And for those of you who may not know, ShoutNow was formed in the basement of IUPUI’s Purdue Engineering building one week and 3 days ago as a part of the Indianapolis Startup Weekend. We are all pretty excited about what the future holds for ShoutNow and we’re glad to have you all along with us for the ride. You can also join our Facebook fan page “ShoutNow” and watch for more pics and vids, discussion topics and Shouting ideas.

Shout at you later!

I didn’t get a chance to Shout today, but I will tomorrow. The funny thing is - our office was closed today due to a power outage… if only someone would have shouted to me!

Congratulations on a great launch! The greatest tools are simple and easy to utilize.

Couldn’t figure out this answer in an FAQ. What happens if the voice message hits an answering machine - how does the process work?

    Quentin-
Great question. If you do receive a Shout from someone, but do not answer your phone, the message will be delivered to your answering machine or voicemail. There may be a slight delay before the message starts but we are working on refining that. Ultimately, the message will be delivered to your inbox.
    Thanks!
