3, 2, 1 Launch

Hi Friends!

Welcome to ShoutNow, we are glad to have you here and we hope you come back often.

It is Sunday afternoon and things here at the Indianapolis Startup Weekend (ISW) are getting crazy. ISW is a weekend where like-minded techies and entrepreneurs get together and work like hell to form a startup. This year, four startups sprung from this motley crew and in a few hours, we will all present to each other. The ShoutNow video demo that you can now enjoy is what we are toiling on currently and are about to debut to a crowd of blury eyed coders and marketing/pr gurus

For this first post, I thought it’d be fun (for posterity’s sake) to see why people are pulling their hair out in these final hours before launch.

Graham (Biz Dev & Finance) - “the stupid freaking 800 # voicemail system”
Joel (Design) - “trying to install jing and my computer isn’t updated with SP3 andand the .net framework and it’s taking forever and i’m downloading all these prereqs”
Dan (CEO/Developer) - “trying to finish getting a payment system finsihed so our business model will work”
Sonal (Marketing)- “Google docs! grrr!”
Brian (Developer)- “I’m just trying to get this homepage layout done as quickly as possible (leave me alone).”
David & Darby (Developer) - grunted replies I think it was “need caffeine”
Molly (PR) - This blog post and the press release which needs to immediately follow
Thanks for reading and we’ll shout at you again soon!
